Train your eye for tactics

Every chess puzzle contains a tactical opportunity. Start by looking for checks, captures and threats, then calculate your opponent’s best reply. Solve the daily puzzle as a quick routine, or practice one theme until you recognize the pattern in your own games.

Theme practice does not affect your rating. Play in the Puzzle League when you want to compete, or review a completed game and practice the positions where you made mistakes.
